Sport Bras at eBrasetc.com

The truth is, finding the perfect sports bra is equally as important to your workout as your warm-up. After all is said and done, the perfect sports bra will allow you to stretch, move and sweat all while providing superior support!

There are three basic grades or levels of sports bras: Low, Medium, and High Impact.

------------------------

LOW IMPACT

What do I wear them for?

Possibly a yoga class or a gentle Pilates class. Low Impact simply means there isn't a lot of jarring up and down movement.

What do I need?

For a low impact workout, something comfortable with quite a bit of stretch and some light compression that makes you feel supported and covered.

Can you give me an example?

A bra with plenty of stretch and a soft, breathable fabric would be preferable. Also something with an over the head styling that allows for quick, no fuss dressing and a bra with lightly padded cups which offer just the right amount of compression and support would be a preferable choice for a Low Impact Sports Bra.

MEDIUM IMPACT

What do I wear them for?

Medium impact sports bras are great for workouts that cause a medium level of "bounce," such as power walking, cycling, or any type of movement that women with larger busts may find them more comfortable for walking as well.

What do I need?

It stands to reason that more movement calls for a more supportive bra, one with a sturdier fabric, more compression, and a nice snug fit. You will probably prefer something that clasps in the back for a more customized fit that will offer even more support.

Can you give me an example?

A wireless sports bra with seams and stronger fabric that provide extra support for a more intense workout would be preferable. Also a bra with moisture-wicking fabric will ensure you'll stay comfortable as you move.

High Impact

What do I wear them for?

Think intensive activity such as running, aerobics, or high movement sports like kickboxing or volleyball. High impact bras will provide the most support for activities with a lot of "bounce."

What do I need?

If there is a lot of up and down activity, a bra that provides maximum coverage and support with sturdy fabrics and structured cups would be preferable. A wired sports bra that will help keep your bust contained and securely in place would be great.

Can you give me an example?

A padded underwire bra would provide comfort and support, as well as highly structured cups to keep everything exactly where you want them.

------------------------

Naturally, our suggestions are just that and are by no means an absolute rule book. You can wear high impact sports bras for yoga, and a medium impact bra may be all the support you need for running.
